Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a wheel bearing assembly for supporting and rotatably mounting a vehicle wheel to a vehicle body. The wheel bearing assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a wheel hub that is provided with a wheel mounting flange and has an accommodation space formed at the vehicle body-side end so as to accommodate a rolling member of a constant velocity joint; one or more inner races that are press-fitted and mounted to the outer circumferential surface of the wheel hub; an outer race having a vehicle body-side mounting flange; a plurality of rolling elements that support the wheel hub so that the wheel hub can rotate relative to the outer race; a boot fastening ring that is press-fitted and mounted to the outer circumference of the wheel hub; and a rubber boot that prevents foreign substances from entering the accommodation space of the wheel hub. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the boot fastening ring can be press-fitted and mounted to the outer circumferential surface of the wheel hub with an interference amount greater than or equal to a minimum interference amount (a) calculated according to [Equation 1] below.
