Abstract:
Provided are a magnetic modulation gear and a gear motor capable of suppressing decreases in torque and efficiency caused by leakage flux. A magnetic modulation gear (30) includes: a plurality of outer pole magnets (33) arranged in a circumferential direction; a rotor (32) including a plurality of magnetic pole pieces (32a) arranged in the circumferential direction and further inward in the radial direction than the plurality of outer pole magnets; and a plurality of inner pole magnets (31a) arranged in the circumferential direction and further inward in the radial direction than the plurality of magnetic pole pieces. Moreover, one or multiple bearings (13a, 13c, 13d) are provided that support the rotor so as to be relatively rotatable with respect to the outer pole magnets or the inner pole magnets. The one or multiple bearings include one-side bearings (13a, 13c) positioned more to one side in the axial direction than the plurality of magnetic pole pieces. A first bearing (13c), of the one-side bearings, that is closest to the magnetic pole pieces, is disposed in a region further outward in the radial direction than an inner circumference edge of the plurality of outer pole magnets, or in a region further inward in the radial direction than an outer circumference edge of the plurality of inner pole magnets.
