Abstract:
Provided are a magnetic modulation gear and a gear motor that are capable of suppressing reductions in torque and efficiency ascribable to an eddy current. A magnetic modulation gear (30) comprises: a plurality of outer pole magnets (33) arrayed in the circumferential direction; a plurality of pole pieces (32a) arrayed in the circumferential direction radially inward from the plurality of outer pole magnets; and a plurality of inner pole magnets (31a) arrayed in the circumferential direction radially inward from the plurality of pole pieces. The magnetic modulation gear (30) further comprises a shaft member (32b) coupled to the plurality of pole pieces (32a). The shaft member includes a non-conductive portion (32b2) and a conductive portion (32b1). The conductive portion (32b1) is coupled to the plurality of pole pieces (32a) via the non-conductive portion (32b2).
