Abstract:
Provided is a new linear motion device which enables easy assembly of a no-load path component member and the like. This linear motion device has a rail body 1 and a linear motion body 2 that moves linearly relative to the rail body 1. Load paths 4 along which rolling bodies 3 move are provided between the rail body 1 and the linear motion body 2. The load paths 4 are connected to no-load paths 6 provided to the linear motion body 2 via return paths 5. The no-load paths 6 are each formed from: a hole 7 open at both ends of the linear motion body 2 in the longitudinal direction; and a no-load path component member 8 disposed at the hole 7. The no-load path component member 8 has a body part 9 inserted in the hole 7 and locking end parts 10 which are provided at both ends of the body part 9 and which are locked at both ends of the linear motion body 2 in the longitudinal direction. The locking end parts 10 each have a positioning portion 11 that is positioned by coming into contact with a locking end part 10 of a no-load path component member 8 disposed at the adjoining other hole 7.
