Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving indication information from a network device, the indication information being associated with a first cell; the terminal device executing cell selection, reselection or access on the basis of the indication information. The indication information comprises at least one of the following: a same-frequency reselection identifier and a dedicated same-frequency reselection identifier, a different-frequency reselection list and a dedicated different-frequency reselection list, a different-frequency reselection parameter and a dedicated different-frequency reselection parameter, a same-frequency reselection exclusion cell list and a dedicated same-frequency reselection exclusion cell list, a different-frequency reselection exclusion cell list and a dedicated different-frequency reselection exclusion cell list, a same-frequency reselection cell parameter and a dedicated same-frequency reselection cell parameter, a different-frequency reselection cell parameter and a dedicated different-frequency reselection cell parameter, or an access control parameter and a dedicated access control parameter. Using the present method, it is difficult for a terminal device which does not support an energy-saving carrier to select or reselect a cell on the energy-saving carrier, thereby reducing the influence on terminal devices which support the energy-saving carrier.
