Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cutter capable of suppressing the increase of a clearance between an outer peripheral surface of a side ring of a cutter roll, and an outer peripheral surface of an anvil roll.SOLUTION: A rotary cutter 1 is equipped with a cutter roll 4 formed with a cutter portion 8 and a provided with a pair of side rings 9, and an anvil roll 5 having a part abutting on the pair of the side rings 9. The rotary cutter 1 makes a sheet W pass through a clearance between both rolls 4 and 5, while the cutter roll 4 and the anvil roll 5 are relatively rotated, and cuts the sheet W between the cutter portion 8 of the cutter roll 4 and the anvil roll 5. A first cleaning member 20 is provided, which contacts with at least either one of an outer peripheral surface 9a of the side ring 9 or the part abutting on an outer peripheral surface 9a of the side ring 9, on an outer peripheral surface 5c of the anvil roll 5.
