Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cutter capable of suppressing the deterioration of sharpness of a cutter portion even if a sheet is successively cut.SOLUTION: A rotary cutter 1 is equipped with a cutter roll 4 formed with a cutter portion 8, and an anvil roll having an outer peripheral surface opposite to the cutter portion 8. While the cutter roll 4 and the anvil roll 5 are relatively rotated, the rotary cutter 1 makes a sheet W pass through a clearance between both rolls 4 and 5, and cuts the sheet W between the cutter portion 8 of the cutter roll 4 and the anvil roll 5. A lubricant applying roll 12 is equipped, which has an outer peripheral surface holding a lubricant and contacted with the cutter portion 8, and is provided so as to relatively rotate with the cutter roll 4.
