Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent adhesion of elongated paper pieces, so-called mustache, continued in the direction of the width of a paper sheet, to a cutting part during cutting of corrugated board, and to prevent the occurrence of printing impedance owing to the mustache.
CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower drums 6 and 7, paralleling each other, on the peripheries of which upper and lower knives 8 and 9, respectively, making a pair, are fixed are synchronously rotated in a reverse direction to each other. The knives 8 and 9 are engaged with each other upon every one full turn. A corrugated board fed between a pair of the drums 6 and 7 are cut to given lengths through engagement of the two knives 8 and 9 with each other. In the so formed corrugated board cut off device, notches 9A are formed at intervals of a proper distance in at least one knife cutting edge part of the two knives 8 and 9.
