Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a rotary shaft kiln which is free of corrosion produced by hydrochloric acid and zinc chloride contained in a raw material of activated coal or corrosive gases generated when manufacturing titanium oxide or the like.
CONSTITUTION: The inner surface of an iron-made drum body 1 is lined with an impermeable film 4 comprising a teflon film or the like which prevents the penetration of vapor from hydrochloric acid and zinc chloride produced from a raw material of activated coal or corrosive gases or the like contained in a raw material of zinc titanium. A joint width of a block layer 2 inside the drum is enlarged so that heir blocks may be inter-bonded with acid proofing mortar 5. Furthermore, it is more favorable that a brick prevention bar 6, which extends to the inside of the iron-made drum body 1 in its axial direction is installed in a projecting manner.
