Abstract:
This work machine comprises a vehicle body, an engine, a running apparatus, a work device, a sensor, and a controller. The sensor detects status data that indicates the operational statuses of the running apparatus and the work device. The controller acquires the status data. The controller determines a work phase of the work machine on the basis of the operational statuses of the running apparatus and the work device. In a case where the work phase is determined as being prescribed work other than digging, the controller controls the output of the engine by a first control mode. In a case where the work phase is determined as being digging, the controller controls the output of the engine by a second control mode. In the second control mode, the controller reduces the upper limit of the output of the engine to be lower than that in the first control mode.
