Abstract:
A valve device comprising: a sealing member (30) slidably in tight contact with the outer peripheral surface of a rotary shaft (13); and an annular mounting ring (31) for mounting the sealing member to a housing. A one-side plate portion (33) and an other-side plate portion (34) of the mounting ring hold the sealing member by sandwiching the sealing member in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. The mounting ring is fixed to the housing with the other-side plate portion being in contact with an opposing surface (162) of the housing. An inner peripheral end (342) of the other-side plate portion is located on an outer side than an inner peripheral end (332) of the one-side plate portion in the radial direction of the rotary shaft. An outer surface (333) of the one-side plate portion includes: an outer-peripheral-side region (334) located on an outer side than the inner peripheral end of the other-side plate portion in the radial direction; and an inner-peripheral-side region (335) located on an inner side than the outer-peripheral-side region in the radial direction. The outer-peripheral-side region is located on the one side of the inner-peripheral-side region in the axial direction.
