Abstract:
Provided is a toner for which toner leakage is unlikely to occur and which has excellent thin line reproducibility. This toner contains colored resin particles comprising a binding resin, a coloring agent, and a release agent and also contains external additives. Further, the toner has a circle surface area equivalent diameter of 5.0 μm to 10.0 μm as measured by a flow-type particle image measuring device and a compactness, which is the ratio of the circle surface area equivalent diameter to the greatest length (circle surface area equivalent diameter/greatest length), of 0.915 to 1.000.
