Abstract:
A tensioner (10) comprising: a movable part (32) that receives a load from a winding transmission body via a tension member; a stator part (12) that supports the movable part (32) in a displaceable manner; a coil spring (34) that urges the movable part (32) against the tension member and that becomes unwound with a low intersheet friction force when the urging force to the tension member is higher than the load from the tension member and becomes wound with a high intersheet friction force when the urging force to the tension member is lower than the load from the tension member; and a backup spring (92) that restricts winding of the coil spring (34).
