Abstract:
This spherical link actuator comprises: a spherical link mechanism (10); a plurality of string-like members (30); and a plurality of drive sources (40). The spherical link mechanism has a proximal link hub (11), a distal link hub (12), and a plurality of links (13) connecting the proximal link hub and the distal link hub. Each of the plurality of links includes a proximal link member (13a), a distal link member (13b), and an intermediate link member (13c). The proximal link member is connected to the proximal link hub so as to be capable of rotating about a first axis of rotation at one end of the proximal link member. The distal link member is connected to the distal link hub so as to be capable of rotating about a second axis of rotation at one end of the distal link member. The intermediate link member is connected to the other end of the proximal link member so as to be capable of rotating about a third axis of rotation at one end of the intermediate link member, and is connected to the other end of the distal link member so as to be capable of rotating about a fourth axis of rotation at the other end of the intermediate link member.
