Abstract:
Provided is a sliding device that has a simple structure and can prevent balls from slipping out of position. A sliding device (1) comprises: lower-side balls (4) that are positioned in a lower-side gap (41) between a lower rail (2) and an upper rail (3); upper-side balls (5) that are positioned in an upper-side gap (42); and a first retainer (6) that is positioned in one of the lower-side gap (41) and the upper-side gap (42), in this configuration the lower-side gap (41). The first retainer (6) comprises a pair of first ball retaining sections (32) and a pair of second ball retaining sections (33) that are provided in both end sections of a body section (31) and retain the lower-side balls (4) in a manner allowing the same to roll, and a pair of linking sections (34) that link said first ball retaining sections (32) and said second ball retaining sections (33). The upper-side balls (5) are positioned in regions of the upper-side gap (42) that correspond to prescribed intervals between the respective two lower-side balls (4) retained by the first ball retaining sections (32) and the second ball retaining sections (33).
