A self-sealing double-row tapered roller bearing with a stepped outer diameter. The self-sealing double-row tapered roller bearing comprises an inner ring (1), an outer ring (2), a cage (3) and a double row of rollers (4), wherein the double row of rollers are retained between the inner ring and the outer ring by means of the cage; two sides of an inner wall of the outer ring are respectively provided with sealing grooves (6) for assembling sealing assemblies (5); two sides of an outer wall of the outer ring are respectively provided with recesses (7) recessed inwards in a radial direction; the recess and sealing groove on each side are provided correspondingly, and an axial length of the recess is greater than an axial length from the sealing groove to a corresponding outer-ring end surface; there is a central portion (8) between the recesses on the two sides; and the recesses on the two sides and the central portion are connected and extend to form a complete outer-ring outer wall, and the recesses and the central portion have a stepped structure. The outer ring is provided with the recesses to compensate for deformation of the outer ring generated in a press-fitting process, such that the deformation does not affect the fit between an outer diameter of the bearing and a bearing seat, thereby preventing the fit between the outer diameter of the bearing and the bearing seat from being converted into an interference fit, facilitating mounting of the bearing, and reducing the risk of temperature rising.
