Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotor for a rotary electric machine, the rotor including: a rotor core; a first permanent magnet in a first magnet hole; and a second permanent magnet in a second magnet hole. In the first magnet hole, on one side in a circumferential direction with respect to a d-axis, a first hole portion on a side closer to the d-axis and a second hole portion on a side farther from the d-axis protrude inward in a core radial direction when viewed in the axial direction, and first hole portions on both sides in the circumferential direction with respect to the d-axis protrude outward in the core radial direction, with the d-axis as the center, when viewed in the axial direction. The first permanent magnet extends in at least part of each of the first hole portion and the second hole portion of the first magnet hole.
