Abstract:
Realized is a quantum calculation unit provided with both a function of performing quantum calculation and a function of imparting, to a photon having a wavelength different from a photon used for the quantum calculation, entanglement with quantum systems. The quantum calculation unit is provided with: a nano optical fiber (20); and quantum systems (22) disposed on the nano optical fiber. The quantum systems each have a ground level, a first excitation level, a second excitation level, and a third excitation level having energy different from the second excitation level. A first resonance wavelength (λ1) corresponding to the level difference between the ground level and the first excitation level and a second resonance wavelength (λ2) corresponding to the level difference between the second excitation level and the third excitation level are different from each other. Each of the quantum systems interacts with a first photon having the first resonance wavelength, and further generates, in the nano optical fiber, a second photon having entanglement with the quantum system and having the second resonance wavelength.
