Abstract:

Provided is a power transmission device that regulates the rotation of a pressure member when a clutch has been disengaged by a driver, whereby responsiveness when the clutch is thereafter engaged can be improved to improve operability. This power transmission device has: a pressure member 5 with which clutch plates can be pressed into contact or with which the pressed-contact force can be released; a clutch spring 10 that biases the pressure member 5 in the direction in which the clutch plates come into pressed contact; a receiving member 11 comprising a separate member attached to the pressure member 5; and a back-torque-limiting cam that reduces the pressed-contact force of the clutch plates when rotation of an output member exceeds the rotational speed of an input member. This power transmission device also has a rotation-regulating part 8a that regulates the rotation of the pressure member 5 relative to a clutch member 4, the pressure member 5 having been moved by the actuation of a push rod 9, and that can maintain a clearance t between a pair of cam surfaces constituting the back-torque-limiting cam.
