Abstract:
Provided is a power transmission device capable of improving responsiveness and thereby improving operability when a clutch is engaged, by reducing sliding resistance of a receiving member. The power transmission device has: a pressure member 5 capable of causing or releasing pressure contact between a drive-side clutch plate and a driven-side clutch plate; a clutch spring 10 that impels the pressure member 5 in a direction that causes pressure contact between the clutch plates; a receiving member 11 comprising a separate member attached to the pressure member 5; and a back torque limiter cam that reduces pressure contact force between the clutch plates when the rotation of an output member is greater than the rotation speed of an input member. The power transmission device has an outer diameter-side regulating section that restricts movement of the receiving member 11 to the outer diameter side of the pressure member 5 and is capable of maintaining a clearance t between a side surface 11d of the receiving member 11 and an inner peripheral wall 4e of a clutch member 4.
