Abstract:
This obstacle approach detection device comprises: an acquiring unit that sequentially acquires three-dimensional point group data that indicates an outdoor structure acquired by a three-dimensional scanner; a specifying unit that specifies, from the three-dimensional point group data, first point group data that indicates a target object and second point group data that indicates an obstacle; a setting unit that, on the basis of the first point group data, sets a first detection area that is an area surrounding the first point group data; a moving unit that, on the basis of feature points extracted from the first point group data, moves the first point group data and the first detection area in accordance with the movement of the feature points; and an output unit that, when a portion of the first detection area and a portion of a second detection area that is an area surrounding the second point group data overlap, or when the number of point data of the first point group data present within the second detection area becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold, outputs an alert indicating the approach of the target object and the obstacle.
