Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for predictive maintenance of a cylinder using differential pressure, wherein: the differential pressure between the internal pressure of a cylinder and the internal pressure of a main pipe, which supplies hydraulic or pneumatic pressure from a conventional pressure device to the cylinder, is detected in an operation section, in which the rod of the cylinder moves forward and backward, to collect a differential pressure waveform for the operation section; a threshold value is set on the basis of information about the collected waveform; and then when the differential pressure waveform collected from the cylinder operating in real time exceeds the threshold value and thus the cylinder is suspected to be abnormal, an alarm is triggered to induce timely maintenance and replacement of the cylinder, thereby preventing enormous losses due to cylinder malfunction.
