Abstract:
This method for connecting an optical waveguide comprises: adjusting the position of an optical circuit board (1); supplying an adhesive (3) to the vicinity of an optical input part on the optical circuit board; aligning an optical fiber block (2) that holds an optical fiber (2a) with respect to the optical circuit board such that the intensity of light emitted from the optical circuit board becomes maximum; starting curing of the adhesive in a state where the optical fiber block is aligned with respect to the optical circuit board; measuring the cure degree and cure time of the adhesive while the adhesive is being cured; and repeats alignment of the optical fiber block that holds the optical fiber with respect to the optical circuit board such that the intensity of light emitted from the optical circuit board becomes maximum in a state where the cure degree is less than or equal to a certain threshold.
