Abstract:
Provided is a monitoring system and method whereby it is possible to more easily ascertain the internal and external conditions of a marine hose. After a drone 21 has moved to the airspace in the upper vicinity of an IC tag 11 placed on the surface of a marine hose 1, the detection result of the detection index by a detector 10 is transmitted through a return radio wave R2 and is input to a calculation device 20 as acquisition data, the return radio wave R2 being transmitted from the IC tag 11 activated by a transmission radio wave R1 transmitted from a communicator 19 mounted on the drone 21, to the communicator 19 in response to the transmission radio wave R1. The internal condition of the marine hose 1 is determined by the calculation device 20 on the basis of the magnitude of the difference between the acquisition data and the reference data. The external condition of the marine hose 1 is determined by the calculation device 20 on the basis of the difference between the image data acquired by a camera device 22 while the drone 21 is in the airspace above the marine hose 1 and the reference image data.
