Abstract:
Provided is an electronic pen that includes a switch operation part of an easy-to-use side switch while preventing decreases in the strength of a pen housing even if the pen housing has a narrow shape. This electronic pen has: a long through hole provided on the side peripheral surface of a cylindrical housing, the axial direction of the cylindrical housing being set as the longitudinal direction of the long through hole; and a switch provided within the housing, said switch performing on/off control by using a switch operation part installed in the through hole. A beam part is provided at a middle position of the housing in the longitudinal direction of the long through hole, this beam part separating the opening of the through hole in the longitudinal direction by bridging the through hole in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The switch operation part turns the switch within the housing on or off as a result of the side of a site where a pressing operation has been performed rotating with the beam part as a fulcrum.
