Abstract:
This load sensor for detecting a load comprises: a housing (71) which has a load surface (714a) for receiving a load and which deforms upon reception of the load on the load surface; a distortion detection unit (72) that detects, from among a first distortion amount which is the distortion amount at a plurality of sites in a first direction (DRx) representing a direction along the load surface in the housing and a second distortion amount which is the distortion amount at a plurality of sites in a second direction (DRy) representing a direction along the load surface and intersecting the first direction in the housing, at least one of the distortion amounts or both of the distortion amounts when the housing is deformed by receiving the load on the load surface; and a load calculation unit (722) that calculates, among loads received on the load surface, a surface-orthogonal load (Fz) applied in a third direction (DRz) intersecting the load surface, on the basis of said at least one of the distortion amounts at the plurality of sites or said both of the distortion amounts from among the first distortion amount at the plurality of sites and the second distortion amount at the plurality of sites detected by the distortion detection unit.
