This air purification system, which is installed in a vehicle, comprises a removal apparatus (1), sensors (2, 2a, 2b, 2c), and an electronic control device (3). The removal apparatus (1) removes prescribed components contained in the air in the vehicle interior. The sensors (2, 2a, 2b, 2c) detect the concentration of the prescribed components in the air in the vehicle interior. The electronic control device (3) has a storage unit that stores information input from the sensors (2, 2a, 2b, 2c), and a processor that computes and processes the information. The electronic control device is configured to determine a replacement period for the removal apparatus on the basis of an attenuation speed of the concentration of the prescribed components calculated under each prescribed detection condition during operation of the removal apparatus (1). The prescribed components removed by the removal apparatus (1) are prescribed gas components, and the concentration of the prescribed components detected by the sensors (2, 2a, 2b, 2c) is the concentration of the prescribed gas components.
