Abstract:
The present invention relates to an IGF-1 receptor-binding aptamer and a use thereof. The aptamer according to the present invention can function as a biased agonist selectively inducing only the metabolic function of the IGF-1 receptor while promoting phosphorylation of the IGF-1 receptor to enhance glucose uptake. In addition, the aptamer does not promote cell division and thus can alleviate the induction of diabetic retinopathy or cancer development due to excessive cell proliferation caused by IGF-1 administration.
