Abstract:
Provided are a heat-generating device and a boiler capable of uniformizing the temperature of a heat-generating body. A heat-generating device 11 comprises: a heat-generating container 15 into which a hydrogen-based gas containing hydrogen is introduced; a heat-generating body14 that is provided inside the heat-generating container 15 and that generates heat through occlusion and releasing of the hydrogen; a first heat releasing path 16 through which a first heat releasing fluid heated by the heat-generating body 14 flows; and a second heat releasing path 17 through which a second heat releasing fluid flows in a direction opposite to the flowing direction of the first heat releasing fluid. A boiler 10 comprises the heat-generating device 11. Water is supplied as the first heat releasing fluid through the first heat releasing path 16. The water is heated by the heat-generating body 14. Steam or hot water is discharged through the first heat releasing path 16.
