Abstract:
A glass sheet manufacturing device 1, which cuts out a cut portion 3 as a glass sheet 4 by snapping a glass ribbon 2, is provided with a snapping mechanism 8 that snaps the glass ribbon 2 while holding the cut portion 3. The snapping mechanism 8 is provided with a holding member 10 that holds and releases the held state of each of an end portion 3a on one side and an end portion 3a on the other side in the width direction of the cut portion 3. The holding member 10 is capable of switching between a closed state of sandwiching and holding the corresponding end portion 3a of the cut portion 3 and an open state of releasing the held state of the corresponding end portion 3a. The snapping mechanism 8 is further provided with a restriction member 12 that comes into contact with the cut portion 3 falling down as a result of switching to the open state, to restrict lateral displacement of the cut portion 3.
