Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a gas turbine engine comprises: a compressor that compresses air that has been taken in; a combustor that sprays fuel into the air compressed by the compressor and combusts the fuel; a turbine that is rotationally driven by the energy of a combustion gas generated by the combustor; a rotary shaft that connects the compressor and the turbine; a rear bearing that is a cageless ball bearing that includes an inner race, an outer race, and balls, the inner race being fixed to a turbine-side portion of the rotary shaft; a housing in which the rear bearing is installed; and a rear bearing holding member that is interposed between the rear bearing and the housing and holds the outer race of the rear bearing such that the outer race can move in the axial direction relative to the housing.
