Abstract:
In the present invention, in order to provide a fracturing device and a fracturing method for a connecting rod that enable a prescribed fracture surface to be formed with excellent yield when a large-diameter section of the connecting rod is fractured in two: clampers 510, 520 are provided for pressing bolt seat surfaces 921, 922 of a large-diameter section 920 of a connecting rod 900 before fracturing the large-diameter section and for restricting the large-diameter section, which is to be fractured in two at the time of fracture, so as to not move in a direction orthogonal to the center axis direction of the large-diameter section; and clamper position-fixing movement-restricting parts 610, 620 are further included so as to keep pressing forces of the clampers with respect to the bolt seat surfaces of the large-diameter section within a predetermined prescribed range before the connecting rod fractures, and to prevent the clampers from moving in the direction orthogonal to the center axis direction of the large-diameter section of the connecting rod due to the fracturing force that the large-diameter section receives at the time of fracture.
