Provided is a foodstuff management system capable of smoothly registering foodstuffs with combined use of voice input. The foodstuff management system causes one or more computers to operate as: a startup unit for starting acceptance of voice input; a display output unit for causing a voice-recognized character string to be displayed on a display screen; an editing processing unit for accepting editing of the character string displayed on the display screen in accordance with an operation by a user, and, if editing has been performed, causing the edited character string to be displayed on the display screen; a termination adding unit for imparting a termination to the voice-recognized character string, and then handling the voice-recognized character string as a new character string; and a registration processing unit for causing the character string displayed on the display screen to be added to a foodstuff list as a foodstuff name, in accordance with an operation by the user.
