Abstract:
A food waste disposer comprises: a housing; a grinding case that processes food waste inside the housing; a valve assembly mounted on the lower part of the grinding case; and a driving device disposed on one side of the valve assembly to operate the valve assembly. The grinding case comprises a discharge hole formed on the bottom surface. The valve assembly comprises a valve member for opening or closing the discharge hole. The driving device comprises: a drive motor that generates power; a power transmission member connected to the drive motor and configured to move in a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction; a holding member that rotates according to the movement of the power transmission member and is connected to the valve member to guide the valve member to an open or closed state; and a sensor in contact with the power transmission member.
