Abstract:
One aspect of the present invention is an electronic endoscope system that acquires an ultrasonic image comprising: an electronic endoscope that has, at a tip end part, an imaging element which captures an image of biological tissues and an ultrasonic probe which applies ultrasonic waves to the biological tissue and which obtains an echo signal; a captured image processor that has an image processing unit which processes an imaging signal output from the imaging element and which generates a captured image; and an ultrasonic image processor that has an ultrasonic image processing unit which processes the echo signal output from the ultrasonic probe and which generates an ultrasonic image, a frequency band detection unit which detects a frequency band included in the echo signal and having a noise component at a preset threshold level or greater, and a filter processing unit which carries out a filter process on the echo signal such that the signal of the detected frequency band is attenuated.
