Abstract:
In an electronic device and an operating method of the electronic device, according to various embodiments, the electronic device may comprise: a communication circuit for transmitting or receiving data through a cellular network; and a communication processor, wherein the communication processor may be configured to: transmit or receive data through a first frequency band of first cellular communication while the electronic device is in an idle state of the first cellular communication; receive first system information comprising information about a node adjacent to a first node, the first system information being broadcasted by the first node supporting a standalone (SA) mode; identify whether the first system information comprises information indicating a second frequency band of second cellular communication; set a priority related to measurement of the quality of a signal transmitted through the second frequency band on the basis of identifying that the first system information comprises the information indicating the second frequency band; and measure the quality of the signal transmitted through the second frequency band on the basis of the set priority. Other various embodiments are possible.
