Abstract:
This electric transportation vehicle travels by means of drive force from an electric motor that is driven by supplying of electric power from a generator driven by an engine. A controller for controlling the electric motor has: an engine rotation speed determination unit that determines whether an engine rotation speed, which is a detection value from a rotation speed sensor, is equal to or greater than a rotation speed threshold value when a vehicle start instruction is inputted; an elapsed time determination unit that determines whether a first elapsed time measured from a time that the detection value was determined to be equal to or greater than the rotation speed threshold value has reached a time threshold value; and a start determination unit that determines whether the vehicle speed, which is a detection value from a speed sensor, is equal to or greater than a speed threshold value after it is determined that the first elapsed time has reached the time threshold value, and the controller stops the electric motor when it is determined that the detection value from the speed sensor is less than the speed threshold value.
