Abstract:
Disclosed are a dry torque converter for an electric vehicle and a control method therefor. A dry torque converter for an electric vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a planetary gear which is connected to an input shaft by means of a first element, connected to an output shaft by means of a second element, and variably connected to a fixing part by means of a third element; at least one eddy current torque generation part disposed between the first element and the second element and generating an eddy current so as to be controlled by a rotation speed of the output shaft; a back cover which is integrally connected to the input shaft and the first element, coupled to a front cover with the planetary gear embedded therein, and disposed close to the output shaft; one-way clutches connected to each other so as to connect or disconnect an unidirectional connection between the third element and the fixing part; a lock-up mechanism which is connected to the second element and is engaged with a lock-up gear mounted inside the bag cover by means of centrifugal force transmitted according to the rotational speed of the output shaft, and at the same time, directly connects the input shaft and the output shaft.
