Abstract:
The purpose of the present embodiment is to provide a display device such that a reduction in display quality can be suppressed. A display device according to the present embodiment is provided with: a display panel having a display region and a light-transmitting non-display region surrounding the display region; a frame surrounding a peripheral part of the display panel and exposing a portion of the non-display region and the display region; and a light emitting element overlapping the frame. The display panel is provided with: a first transparent substrate; a second transparent substrate provided with a side surface facing the light emitting element; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate and containing a polymer and liquid crystal molecules. In a plan view, the portion of the non-display region is located between the frame and the display region.
