Abstract:
A differential device comprising: a plurality of differential gears (15); at least one differential gear support member (16) supporting each of the plurality of differential gears; a support section (17) that supports at least one differential gear support member; a pair of output gears (S) each engaging with the plurality of differential gears; a washer (33) arranged on the rear surface side of at least one output gear; one cover member (18) covering the rear surface side of one output gear, having part (4a) of a planetary carrier or capable of connecting to at least part of a planetary carrier; and another cover member (19) covering the rear surface side of the other output gear. Formed on a surface facing one output gear in one cover member are: a contact section (34) that receives the washer; a plurality of through-holes (11) arranged spaced apart in the circumferential direction at a position at which at least some thereof overlap with the contact section; and a plurality of recessed sections (35) provided at intersections between each through-hole and the contact section. As a result, the durability of an input member can be improved.
