Abstract:
A differential device (11) comprising: a plurality of differential gears (27); a plurality of differential gear support members (28) that support each of the plurality of differential gears; a pair of output gears (25, 26) that engage with each of the plurality of differential gears; and a support member (31) having a plurality of both-end support sections (35) supporting both ends of each of the differential gear support members and having a space (46) formed in the center thereof. A recessed section (41) that penetrates from the outside of the support members in the radial direction to inside in the radial direction is formed between two adjacent both-end support sections in the support member. Each of the plurality of both-end support sections has one support section (35a) that supports at least one end of the differential gear support members. The one support section has formed therein a through-hole (48) that penetrates the one support section. As a result, a differential device is provided whereby the lubrication performance of differential gears can be improved by bringing lubricating oil that is outside the differential device to inside the differential device from a support member side.
