Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a device authentication method and a related device, which are used for authenticating a newly-connected device. A first aspect of the present application provides a device authentication method. In the present application, a first device first obtains a multi-functional semantic device tag on a second device, the multi-functional semantic device tag comprising a self-verification device identity. When the first device receives an authentication request message sent by the second device, the authentication request message comprises a first parameter, and the first device performs calculation on the first parameter on the basis of a preset hash function to obtain a first hash value. If the first parameter is modified, the first hash value is not equal to the self-verification device identity. Only when the first parameter is not modified can the first hash value be equal to the self-verification device identity, and then the first device determines that the second device is successfully authenticated, so that the relay device is protected from a man-in-the-middle attack due to being prone to identity forgery or tampering, thereby preventing loss such as information leakage of a user.
