Abstract:
A damping member 1, due to being disposed between an installation surface and a mating object while being fixed to the installation surface, minimizes the transmission of vibration between the installation surface and the mating object. The damping member 1 is provided with an elastic part 10 and a base part 30. The elastic part 10 is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer having elasticity. The base part 30 is formed from a material having higher rigidity than the elastic part, and the base part 30 has a fixing surface that faces the installation surface side, a mating surface that faces the mating object side, and a side part that connects the fixing surface and the mating surface. The elastic part 10 is integrally molded by injection molding over the fixed surface side, the side part side, and the mating surface side of the base part 30, thereby accommodating the base part 30 therein. Due to the base part 30 being fixed to the installation surface, the entirety including the elastic part 10 is fixed to the installation surface.
