A control method for an electromagnetic clutch in a hybrid power system, and a hybrid power system. In addition to an electromagnetic clutch, the hybrid power system also comprises: an engine, a motor, an electromagnetic clutch controller, and a power source system; the power source system comprises: a low-voltage battery, a backup power source system, and a switching circuit; and the electromagnetic clutch is used for controlling the access of the motor. The control method comprises: monitoring whether the voltage of a low-voltage battery is lower than a target value, and determining whether a fault occurs in the low-voltage battery; using a switching circuit to switch a backup power source system to supply power to an electromagnetic clutch and an electromagnetic clutch controller; using the electromagnetic clutch controller to determine an engagement or disengagement state of the electromagnetic clutch; and further controlling the electromagnetic clutch according to the engagement or disengagement state. When a fault occurs in the low-voltage battery, the switching circuit switches the backup power source system to supply power, so that the electromagnetic clutch is ensured to be in a reasonable state, and thus the hybrid power system is safe and reliable.
