A connector (1) comprises: a connector body (10); and a retainer (20). The retainer (20) has: a pair of legs (22); detection claws (23) that are provided to the legs (22) and that elastically deform the legs (22) radially outward during insertion of a pipe (3); a removal stopper (25) that prevents pulling-out of the pipe (3) from the connector body (10); and lock claws (24) that project from the legs (22) in the axial direction. The connector body (10) has: first regulation surfaces (13) that regulate movement of the lock claws (24) in the pulling-out direction and that hold the retainer (20) at a temporary locking position; second regulation surfaces (14) that regulate movement of the lock claws (24) from temporary locking positions to the main locking positions; guide grooves (15) that allow radial movement of the lock claws (24) between the first regulation surfaces (13) and the second regulation surfaces (14) when the legs (22) are elastically deformed; and guide surfaces (16) that are formed at the radially outer side of the first regulation surfaces (13) and that guide the lock claws (24) toward the main locking positions when the legs (22) are further elastically deformed radially outward.
