Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a communication method and a communication apparatus, which are used for ensuring normal implementation of a positioning function. The method in the embodiments of the present application comprises: a first access network device sending a radio resource control (RRC) release message to a terminal device by means of a second access network device, and sending first information to the second access network device, wherein the first information is used for requesting the second access network device to feed back, to the first access network device, information of whether the second access network device successfully sends the RRC release message to the terminal device, and the RRC release message comprises sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration information of the terminal device; and the first access network device receiving a first message from the second access network device, wherein the first message is used for feeding back, to the first access network device, information of the second access network device successfully or unsuccessfully sending the RRC release message to the terminal device.
