Provided is a cleaning device for a fermentation-suited material separating device that is provided with an impeller to which crushing blades are attached along an axial center direction and circumferential direction of a rotation shaft installed in a horizontal orientation, and a cylindrical drum which is disposed so as to cover the impeller and in a peripheral wall of which a screening surface is formed, and that separates, via the screening surface, fermentation-suited material such as paper waste from a fermentation raw material that is crushed by impacts from the crushing blades, said cleaning device comprising: a sliding tool holder which is attached to the crushing blades in an orientation such that the lengthwise direction thereof is along the axial center; and a sliding tool, a base end part of which is configured to be removably insertable into the sliding tool holder in a direction along the axial center, wherein, in conjunction with rotation of the crushing blades, the tip end of the sliding tool slides along the inner peripheral surface of the screening surface and cleans the screening surface.
