Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a chemically recycled polyethylene terephthalate resin which has high thermal stability and high melting point. A chemically recycled polyethylene terephthalate resin according to the present invention is characterized by satisfying the requirements (1) to (3) described below. (1) The amount of a diethylene glycol component relative to 100% by mole of all polyhydric alcohol components in the chemically recycled polyethylene terephthalate resin is less than 1.9% by mole. (2) The amount of an ethylene glycol component relative to 100% by mole of all polyhydric alcohol components in the chemically recycled polyethylene terephthalate resin is 97.5% by mole to 99.3% by mole. (3) The amount of a terephthalic acid component relative to 100% by mole of all polyvalent carboxylic acid components in the chemically recycled polyethylene terephthalate resin is 98.0% by mole to 99.98% by mole.
