Title:
CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE FOR FORMING SOLID LUBRICANT COATING FILM, OIL WELL PIPE, AND SCREW-THREADED JOINT FOR OIL WELL PIPES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/255166
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
With respect to the lubrication properties of an oil well pipe during fastening and loosing operations, the present invention achieves, by using a solid lubricant coating film, seize resistance at a level equal to or higher than that achieved by the dope compounding method of the conventional technique. Provided is a screw-threaded joint for oil well pipes, the screw-threaded joint being provided with a box (2) having a thread and a pin (1) having a male thread (1a). A lubricant coating film provided with a solid lubricant coating film (3) is formed on a fastening surface (10) of a thread part in at least one component selected from the box (2) and the pin (1), the solid lubricant coating film (3) is composed of a solid lubricant agent dispersed in a binder resin, a polyamide-imide resin makes up 90% by weight or more of the binder resin, the average molecular weight of the polyamide-imide resin is 20,000 to 40,000 inclusive, PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) makes up 80% by weight or more of the solid lubricant agent, and the average molecular weight of the PTFE is 30,000 or less.
