Abstract:
This charging roll comprises: a core material; a rubber base material disposed around the core material; and a surface layer disposed around the rubber base material. The average height of the profiles of a plurality of protrusions, with respect to an average cylindrical surface of recesses/protrusions on the surface of the surface layer, is 2.0-8.4μm. The average space between the peaks of the plurality of protrusions on the surface of the surface layer is 6.7-39.8μm.
